Refund Policy:

  • Should attendee cancel, a refund will be issued minus a $5 fee to cover credit card processing costs if cancellation is requested at least 7 days (may 19th) prior to start of the event (May 26th).

  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.

  • In the unlikely event that the organizer cancels the conference, a full refund will be issued.

POST-CONFERENCE RECORDINGS

A post-conference recording for each week will be available for all attendees on the VTT online CE platform after the event for up to 30 days post the event. You must have an account with Veterinary Team Training.  It's free to sign up and all attendees will be enrolled into the courses after the conference.

VTT Leadership Communication Cohort

This once a week cohort will meet on Tuesdays starting May 26th for 4 weeks. Each week will be focused on a new communication skill. Attendees will be able to troubleshoot their own real-life scenarios with others and develop plans they can implement in their own hospitals. This 4 week cohort is a mix of lecture based and interactive. 

​

Who: Veterinary professionals who want to boost their communication skills!

While this is geared towards leader, anyone attending will learn valuable communication skills!​

​

What: One 90 minute meeting each week for 4 weeks focused on communication. Each meeting is approved for 1.5 hours of RACE CE approved (6 total hours).

Can't make all 4 meetings? Each one will be recorded for you watch.

  • RACE CE is ONLY awarded for live meeting sessions.

  • Recordings will NOT be RACE approved.

Week One: Mediating Conflict Between Employees

Let's talk about what happens when two employees have a disagreement. These same principles can be applied to teams that are not getting along. Each week participants can share their own real-world experience around the topic. You will leave with a road-map on how to mediate out disagreements between team members.

Week Two: Communication Skills for Burned-out Disengaged Employees

​How do you have a conversation with someone who is disengaged or burned-out? They may be doing a great job except their attitude is poor and the rest of the team is suffering. This week we will dive into skills for these team members. Each week participants can share their own real-world experience around the topic. You will leave with a road-map on how to managing these difficult conversation between team members.

Week Three: De-escalation in Tense Situations

Let's discuss when a team member's emotions start to spiral out of control or a client's energy starts to increase. This week we will dive into the art of de-escalating when the other individual, or ourselves start to spiral. Each week participants can share their own real-world experience around the topic. You will leave with a road-map on how to managing these difficult scenarios.

Week Four: Communication for Poor Performers

This week we will discuss how to have difficult conversations with those that are not motivated, lacking accountability and failure to perform. Each week participants can share their own real-world experience around the topic. You will leave with a road-map on how to managing these difficult conversations.
