Monitoring end-tidal carbon dioxide levels gives the anesthetist information about metabolism, perfusion, and ventilation. This interactive lecture will review the importance of measuring end-tidal carbon dioxide along with a strong emphasis on decoding the capnographic waveforms and the information that impart. Attendees will be challenged to think about waveforms so they leave feeling more comfortable.
